For their 2026 draft campaign, the Los Angeles Rams restaged the world of the 1995 comedy Friday on the porch of the house where it was filmed. Destin plays Lil Smokey, opposite O’Shea Jackson Jr.
The two met on set. By Destin’s account to Sports Illustrated, the cameras were rolling within minutes. The film went out across the Rams’ channels in April 2026, and The Sporting Tribune reported twenty-five million views on X alone.
Asked whether Lil Smokey could make another appearance, Destin told Sports Illustrated he was all for it.
“It was like we stepped into the TV screen watching the movie.”
